One of the biggest misconceptions in Christianity is the teaching that everything will be perfect and pleasant when you follow Christ. Well, that's partly right due to the fact that Christ will always be with you through the Holy Spirit, and He will help and guide you through every situation. However, troubles will come your way whether you are Christian or not. As a Christian you will face things in life that will put your faith to the ultimate test. The question is will your faith hold up? You see, in life you have to depend alot on faith. Without faith you could never make any plans because there is no guarantee that you will see tomorrow; but by faith we still live like tomorrow will be here, which it usually comes. Without faith you could never ride a car or plane because reaching your destination, again, it's not guaranteed. By faith you take the trip because you've done it many times before. The same is with God; by faith we follow Him. You see, nothing is really guaranteed in life; even Jesus never once said if you follow me I will make you rich with money. No, in fact He said the exact opposite, "In this world you will face troubles and hardship." We live in a world with 6 billion people and everyone is trying to do what they want. You dont have to have a PHD in Physics to know that 6billion people + doing what they want = total chaos. It's only by God sustaining us that we've even come this far. Here's my point, be prepared for hardship because everyone faces it, that's just the way it is. However, when you look to God in faith while going through hardtimes things seem to be alot more pleasant. By faith we choose to believe there is a God watching over us. Without faith we have nothing.
